MARTYR SHRINE - SMALL RELIQUARY

Saturday March 29, 9am to 3pm: Join us as we welcome Fr Bert Foliot a Jesuit priest from the Martyr Shrine. He was ordained 52 years ago, been a pastor of numerous parishes in Toronto and Winnipeg.  He has also done ministry among Indigenous Peoples for 25 years.  He served as the rector of Regis College in Toronto and was the director of the Jesuit Infirmary in Pickering, Ontario.  He was a superior of Jesuit Communities for 45 years. Presently, he is a member of the Jesuit staff at Martyrs Shrine and is pastor for the Beausoleil First Nation on Christian Island. For 7 years he walked from Guelph to Midland, Ontario with the Guelph Walking Pilgrimage. This all-day talk will be about the Shrine’s 100 years and a 400-year story of love and discovery with St. Jean de Brébeuf and his companions. The day begins with Mass at 9am with blessings from the relics, discussion on the Martyrs and a synodal spiritual discussion after. Lunch is provided. No cost to attend.
